50 litre of solution of acid and water contains 10 litre of acid how much water must be added to make the solution 10% acidic

total amount of solution= 50l

acid= 10l

water= solution- acid

        = 50-10= 40l

percentage of concentration = 10/50*100

                                                = 20%


required concentration= 10%

let water be x

therefore,

10/50+x=10/100

1000=500+10x

500=10x

x=50

50l of water should be added
