The small intestine receive the secreation of two glands : Liver and Pancreas

Liver secreates bile. Bile is a greenish yellow liquid made in the liver which is normally stored in gall bladder. bile is alkaline and contains many Salts and which breakdown fats present in the food .

Pancreas secretes pancreatic juice which contain digestive enzyme trypsin lipase and pancreatic amylase. The enzyme amylase break down the starch, trypsin digest the proteins and lipase breaks down the fat.
