50 people can complete in 40 days
as the number of worker increases the days required reduces
so it is the example of inverse variation
so product remains constant
K = 50 × 40
K = 200 × x
so
50 × 40 = 200 × x
x = 2000/200
x = 10
so 100 people can complete the same work in 10 days [ with twice efficiency ]

Heya ☺
Given that
Number of people who complete a piece of work in 40 days = 50
We have to find that in how many days can 100 people complete a piece of work.
Solution
If the number of workers increase so the number of working days will be decrease.
Hence , it is a case of inverse variation.
50 × 40 = 100x
=> 2,000 = 100x
=> x = 2,000/100
=> x = 20
Hence , in 200 days 100 people can complete the same work.
Thanks
