Let the smaller number be x
so other number = x + 25x/100
= x + x/4
= 5x /4
their difference is given as 12
5x/4 - x = 12
x /4 = 12
x = 12 × 4
x = 48
so other number = 5x/4
= 5 × 48/ 4
= 5 × 12
= 60
so the numbers are 48 & 60
so other number = x + 25x/100
= x + x/4
= 5x /4
their difference is given as 12
5x/4 - x = 12
x /4 = 12
x = 12 × 4
x = 48
so other number = 5x/4
= 5 × 48/ 4
= 5 × 12
= 60
so the numbers are 48 & 60

Heya ☺
Let the another number be x. Then,
one of the number = x + 25 % of x
= x + 25/100 × x
= x + x/4
= 4x + x/4
= 5x/4
Given that
Larger number is 12 more than the smaller.
5x/4 - x = 12
=> 5x - 4x/4 = 12
=> x/4 = 12
=> x = 12 × 4
=> x = 48
Hence , the 1st number = 48
and the 2nd number = 48 + 25/100 × 48
= 48 + 12
= 60
So, the numbers are 48 and 60.
Thanks
