solve system by substitution

-x-y-z=-8
-4x+4y+5z=7
2x+2z=4

1.-x-y-z= -8
x = 8-y-z ...... (i)

3. 2x+2z = 4
x = (4-2z)/2
= 2 - Z .......(ii)

Equating (i) and(ii),
8-y-z=2-z
8-2= -z+z+y
6=y

2. -4x + 4y +5z=7
x= (4y+5z-7)/4 ......(iii)

equating (ii)and (iii)
2-z = (4y+5z-7)/4
8-4z = 24 +5z - 7 [putting value of y and multiplying by 4 on both sides]
8-24+7= 5z+4z
z= (-9)/9 = -1

from eqn.(i),
x=8-6-(-1)
x=3

So ,we have x=3,y=6,z= -1
