★Correct question-

If a, ß are the zeroes of x2 + 3x -4,

then value of a B-2aß

★ Answer-

alpha and beta are roots of x²+3x-4

x²+3x-4 =

by middle term splitting

x²+4x-x-4

= x(x-1)+4(x-1)

(x+4)(x-1) = 0

one of them must be zero.

x+4= 0, x= -4

x-1= 0, x= 1

x= -4,1

alpha = -4

beta = 1

To find:

B - 2aß

form of quadratic equation-

ax²+bx+c

in our case:

x²+3x-4

b= 3(coefficient of x)

a = -4, ß = 1

by putting values

B - 2aß

= 3 -2(-4×1)

= 3+8

= 11 (answer)

hope it helps¡¡
