5x+8y=9, 2x+3y=4 solve by cross multiplication method

5x+8y=9.........1
2x+3y=4..........2
multiply first by 2and second by 5 we get,
10x+16y=18
10x+15y=20
y=-2 put in equation one
5x+8(-2)=9
5x+-16=9
5x=25
x=5
