3x²–xy–2y²-(5x²–3xy–7y²)

=3x²–xy–2y²- 5x²+3xy+7y²

Hi ,

Let p(x) = 5x² - 3xy - 7y² ,

g(x) = 3x² - XY - 2y²

According to the problem given ,

p(x) - g(x)

= ( 5x² - 3xy -7y² ) - ( 3x²-xy-2y² )

= 5x² - 3xy - 7y² - 3x² + xy + 2y²

= 5x² - 3x² -3xy + xy - 7y² + 2y²

= 2x² - 2xy - 5y²

I hope this helps you.
