Determine nature of roots of the quadratic equations:-

(i) 2x2 - 5x + 7 = 0

(ii) x2 + 2x - 9 = 0

(i) 2x2 - 5x + 7 = 0

(ii) x2 + 2x - 9 = 0

Determine nature of roots of the quadratic equations.

 \large  { \underline{ \bf \blue{Let's\:Do:- }}}

 \large  { \underline{ \bf{Step\:1:- }}}

Compare \:  2x²-5x+2=0 \\

With  \: ax² + bx + c = 0

⟶a=2, b=5, c=7

∴b²-4 ac = (-5)² - 4 × 2 × 7

 \large  { \underline{ \bf{Step\:2:- }}}

⟶ D = 25 - 56

⟶D = -31

∴b²-4 ac < 0
