Concept Introduction:-

A sentence which has a subject, verb, object, and modifiers.

Given Information:-

We have been given that 6.54 gram of zinc is treated with 11.5 gram of H_2SO_4.

To Find:-

We have to find that the volume of hydrogen evolved at STP.

Solution:-

According to the problem

$65.4 \mathrm{~g}$ of $\mathrm{Zn}$ reacts with $98 \mathrm{~g}$ of $\mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{SO}_{4}$

\therefore 6.54 \mathrm{~g} reacts with =\left(\frac{98}{65.4} \times 6.54\right) \mathrm{g} of H_{2} \mathrm{SO}_{4}=9.8 g of H_2SO_4

$\therefore$ Amount of H_2SO_4 left in excess $=(11.5-9.8)=1.7 \mathrm{~g}$

$98 \mathrm{~g}$ of $\mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{SO}_{4}$ produces 22.4 L of H_2 gas at STP

$\therefore$ 9.8g of $\mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{SO}_{4}$ produces (\frac{22.4}{98}\times 9.8)g of H_2 gas at STP

(\frac{22.4}{98}\times 9.8)=2.24L of H_2 gas at STP

Final Answer:-

2.24 L of $\mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{SO}_{4}$ is left.
