Volume of water to be added is -

(1) 3000 ml

The given question will be solved by the equation -

N1V1= N2V2

In this equation, N1 and V1 represents normality and volume of first solution respectively. N2 and V2 represents normality and volume of second solution respectively.

Values given in question are-

N1 is 0.1N, V1 is 300ml, N2 is 0.01N and V2 is to be calculated.

Keeping the values in equation-

0.1*300 = 0.01*V2

V2 = 30/0.01

V2 = 3000 ml.

Hence, volume of water to be added is 3 litre.
