7. Solve the following simultaneous equations
using Cramer's rule :
(1) X + 18 = 2y; y = 2x – 9

x - 2y = - 18

2x - y = 9

D = 1 -2 = 1× -1 - (-2) × 2

2 -1 = -1 + 4

= -3

Dx = -18 -2 = -18 × (-1) - (-2) × 9

9 -1 = 18 + 18

=36

Dy = 1 -18 = 1× 9 - (-18) × 2

2 9 = 9+36

=45
