 {(8 + 5 \sqrt{3}) }^{2}

Using the identity :

 {(x + y)}^{2}  =  {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  + 2xy

 = {8}^{2}  +  {(5 \sqrt{3} )}^{2}  + 2( 8 )\: (5 \sqrt{3} )

 = 64 + 75 + 80 \sqrt{3}

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(8+ 5√3)^2 = 8^2 + (5√3)^2 + 2(8)(5√3)

64+ (25×3) + 80√3

64+ 75 + 80√3

139+ 80√3

This is by Identity

(a+b)^2 = a^2 + b^2 + 2ab
