9 kg Taj Mahal tea @ Rs.40 per kg = Rs.360
6 kg Red Label tea @ Rs.35 per kg = Rs.210
Total 15 kg ( 9+6) tea costing is (360+210)
= Rs.570
So,
The average cost will be 570 / 15 = Rs.38 per kg

Hope it helps !!!

Hey!!

If the price of taj mahal tea is Rupees 40 per Kg, Then price of 9 Kg tea is = 9*40
=360 Rupees

And the price of Red label tea is Rupees 35 per kg,Then price of 6 kg tea is=35×6
=210 Rupees

Total price=360+210
=570 Ruppes
So Total tea=9+6
=15 KG
Average cost = 570/15
= 38 Rupees per Kg!

And if question is asked about the average cost on 2 types of tea, then average cost is= 570/2
=285 rupees!
