the ride. During the nide the elevation changes as 412 m. - 125 m 272 m. -343 m, 490 m. - 640 m and
50 m. What is his elevation relative to the mean sea level at the end of the ride?

[Now don't be confused you didn't have to find the mean you have to find the elevation relative (above or below) to mean sea level at end of ride.]

Elevation at end = 55m + 412m - 125 + 272m - 343m + 490m - 640m + 50m

= 1279 - 1108m

ANSWER = 171m above the mean sea level.
