a. Asia is called as the continent of contrast because: Asia has some of the densely populated places like India and China. On the other hand, it has also sparsely populated places such as Siberia and the Thar Desert.

b. Asia is a massive continent, stretching from polar regions to the equator, so naturally there is a vast difference in the climate. Other factors, such as parts being near seas and oceans and other areas being much further from them, and things like the various landforms all contribute too.

c. Mesopotamia, the area between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers (in modern day Iraq), is often referred to as the cradle of civilization because it is the first place where complex urban centers grew.
