A 1kg weight put on a glass sheet does not break it, while a 10g weight falling on it cracks it. comment

it all comes down to force applied on the glass , a stationary wieght kept can't increase its force( since g is constant )unless its mass is changed, but if you throw the 10g weight with enough acceleration it will break the glass.
