A 2 m wide path is constructed around a rectangular park which is 50 m long and 32 m wide
Find the area of the path.​

Answer:

area of rectangular park = l×b

= 50×32

= 1600m^2

area of park including path = l×b

= (50+2)×(32+2)

=52×34

=1768m^2

area of path = area of park including path - area of park

= 1768-1600

= 168m^2

Area of park=50m×32m

1600m*2

given that, 2 m wide path is constructed around.

so new length=50m-2m-2m

=46m.

new breadth=32m-2m-2m

=28m

hence,area=46m×28m

=1288 m*2

since, area of path=area of rectangular park - new area

=1600 m*2 - 1288 m*2

=312m*2.
