Since R1 and R2 are in parallel combination
1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2
1/R = (R1+R2)/R1R2
R = R1R2/(R1+R2).... (i)
Given
R1=4ohm
R2= 6ohm
So, i becomes
R = 6×4/(6+4)
R = 24/10
R = 2.4 ohm is equivalent resistance.

Hi....

here is your answer:

✈equivalent resistance in parallel =
 \frac{1}{r1} + \frac{1}{r2}
✔r1= 4 ohm
✔r2= 6ohm

✈equivalent resistance=  \frac{1}{R} = <br />[tex] \frac{1}{4} + \frac{1}{6} \\

1/R = 1/6+1/4

R= 12/5

R =2.4 ohm
