A and b working seperately can complete a task in 6hours and 12 hours respectively. if they work in stretches of 1 hour alternately, a begin at 10 am at waht time will the entire work be completed

Assume that the total units of work = LCM (6 , 12) = 12 units

Number of units done by A in one hour = 12/6 = 2 units per hour

Number of units done by B in one hour = 12/12 = 1 units per hour

Work done by A and B alternatively will be one unit of work i.e A+B = 2+1 = 3units of work in two hours.

So they will require 8 hours to complete the 12 units of work alternatively.

So they will finish by 4:00 PM
