(a+b)^2-(a-b)^2=(a^2+2ab+b^2)-(a^2-2ab+b^2)
=4ab. .....(as a^2&b^2 will get cancelled due to opposite signs)

Easy method:

__________

{(a + b)}^{2} - (a - b)^{2} \\ = ( a + b + a - b)(a + b - (a - b)) \\ = 2a \times (a + b - a + b) \\ = 2a \times 2b \\ = 4ab
For understanding:--------

Used identity:-
 {x}^{2} - {y}^{2} = (x + y)(x - y)

In the question,
Let,
x= (a+b)
y= (a-b)

Hope it helped.
