\textbf {Solution:}

Let the number of 25 paise coins be x.

Then, the number of 20 paise coins = (90-x).

Value of 25 paise coins = {25 \times x = 25x}

Value of 20 paise coins = 20 (90-x)

Total value = Rs 21 = 2100 paise.

So,

25x + 20(90 - x) = 2100 \\  \\ 25x + 1800 - 20x = 2100 \\  \\ 5x + 18 00 = 2100 \\  \\ 5x = 2100 - 1800 \\  \\ 5x = 300 \\  \\ x =  \frac{300}{5}  = 60

Now,

The no of 25 paise coins = x = 60.

And the no of 20 paise coins = (90-60) = 30.

\bold{\underline {25 p = 60  \:  \: and  \:  \: 20 p = 30}}
