A ball is thrown above 50 m height then ball enter 5cm in the sand find how much force sand applied on the ball?

m = mass of the object

h = height from which the ball is dropped = 50 m

d = distance during which the force due to sand act on the ball = 5 cm = 0.05 m

g = acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/s²

F = force acting on the ball due to sand

Using conservation of energy

work done by the force due to sand on the ball = potential energy lost by the ball

F d = mgh

F (0.05) = m (9.8) (50)

F = 9800 m
