hey
____

a.

t = 3 seconds
v = 0
g= -10m / s square ( as its thrown against the motion )
u= ?

using first equation of motion
___________________

v= u + gt
________

0 = u -10*3
30 m / s = u

b.

h = ?
g= -10m / s square
t= 3 seconds
v= 0

using third equation of motion
_____________________

v square - u square = 2gh
___________________

(0)whole square - (30) whole square = -20h
-900 = -20h
900 / 20 =h
45 m = h

hence , h = 45m

• note - as we know that in the case of free falling body the body takes equal interval of time while going up and in coming downward

• so here total time is given 6 seconds
it means it took 3 seconds while going upward
and 3 seconds while going downward

hope helped
