A ball of mass 1 kg moving at a speed 4 m/s collides with another ball initially at rest. The colllision is glancing but elastic. After the collison the first ball is found to be moving at a speed of 3m/s at 90 with original line of motion, the mass in kg of the other ball shall be

m1= 1 kg
m2= ?
u1 = 4 m/s
u2 = 0 m/s
so, according to conservation of momentum
m1*u1= m2*u2
putting the value
1*4=0*?
4= ?
therefore m2= 4 kg v
