A ball of mass 500g is thrown vertically upwards with a speed of 10m/s. what would be its momentum at
the highest point of its flight –
a. 5kgm/s, b. 50gm/s, c. 5000kgm/s, d. none of them.

p = 500 x 10^-3 x 10 m/s
p = 5kg m/s

Momentum = p


Mass = m = 500 g = 0.5 kg


speed = v = 10 m/s

p = mv
= 0.5 x 10
= 5 kg
