Hey Dear,

# Complete question is -

Q. A bangle seller sells red bangles at 19 per dozen & blue bangles 23 per dozen. If he buys 10 dozen bangles in 202 Rs, how many blue & red bangles does he buy ?

● Answer -

6 dozen red & 4 dozen blue bangles

◆ Explaination -

Let x & y be dozens of red & blue bangles sold by the bangle-seller.

Total bangles are 10 dozen,

x + y = 10

x = 10 - y ...(1)

Total sell is 202 ₹,

19x + 23y = 202

19(10-y) + 23y = 202

190 - 19y + 23y = 202

3y = 202 - 190

3y = 12

y = 4

Putting this in (1),

x = 10 - y

x = 10 - 4

x = 6

Therefore, bangle seller sells 6 dozen red & 4 dozen blue bangles.

Hope this helps..
