Bar magnet

Explanation:

When we cut a bar magnet, each component becomes a magnet with the same properties as the original bar magnet. The smaller pieces will realign with the same polarity as the original magnet. They will attract or repel each other depending on how the component pieces are arranged.

Hammering or heating can destroy the magnetic power of the original bar magnet, but simply breaking them into pieces will not destroy its magnetic property. It might slightly weaken but the pieces will still be magnetic.

The picture was missing in the question. Please refer to the attached picture for the image. A will have one end as North pole and another end as South pole. Same applies to B, C and D too.
