Answer:

Impulse = 4.16 kg m s^{-1}

Explanation:

In this question

The ball struck by the bat is defected back such that total angle is 45° .

Now, initial moment of ball = m\times u\times cos\Theta

                         = \frac{15\times 54\times 1000\times cos(22.5)}{3600}

                        = 0.15\times 15\times 0.9239  along NO

Final momentum of ball = m\times u\times cos\Theta  along ON

Impulse = change in momentum

             = m\times u\times cos\Theta - (-m\times u\times cos\Theta)

             = 2m\times u\times cos\Theta

              = 20.15\times 15\times 0.9239

Impulse =4.16 kg m s^{-1}
