A biogas plant uses organic waste to generate a gaseous fuel. This promotes proper waste management. The biogas is environment friendly and so it doesn't pollute the air like fossil fuels. It can be used increasingly to meet the shortage of limited fossil fuels.

Answer:Biogas obtained from biomass is used as fuel mostly in rural areas whereas the waste left after obtaining biogas is rich in nitrogen and phosphorus,so it is used as manure by farmers. The uses of biogas doesn't leave any residue and neither any smoke.
