the meaning of this line is that a person who plants a tree not only plants a tree but create new life and does a GOD LIKE DEED..... that is...he creates new life which will benefit everyone in times to come....just as JUST AS GOD CREATES NEW LIFE IN THE HOLLOW OF HIS HAND...SIMILARILY WHEN A PERSON CUPS A SMALL PLANT IN HIS HAND TO PLANT IT....he does something really special for others...which in turn results in the growth of the whole nation....
