CuO(s) ( black)+H2SO4(aq)-------》CuSo4(blue)+ H20(l)

hence the reaction between copper oxide which is black in colour and dil. sulphuric acid gives copper sulphte which is blue in colour.

An insoluble metal oxide is reacted with a dilute acid to fall soluble . Copper (ll) oxide ,a black solid and colourless dilute sulfuric acid react to produce copper (ll) sulfate, giving a characteristic blue colour to the solution
