let coefficient of friction be x
fr= ma
let y be frictional force
x.√2y= y
x= 1/√2

happyliferakesowv3qf: Can you give the formula used there
glorybook: xr= ma

Frictional Force ∝ Contact Force
Frictional force = μ × Contact Force
(where μ is coefficient of friction)

μ = Frictional Force / Contact Force
According to question
μ = Frictional Force / (√2 × Frictional Force)
μ = 1 / √2
μ = 0.70

Coefficient of friction is 0.70
