  • Frictional force is zero as there is no force acting on the block

  • The maximum value of static friction here is,

static friction = Normal force × coefficient of friction

= mg × coefficient of static friction(because body is at rest)

= (5)(10) × 0.3

= 50 × 0.3

= 15 N
