I don't know the appropriate method but let me try
distance covered increased in last two seconds = 20-12= 8 m
so if it an unuformally accelerated motion then the distance covered in third second must be increased by. 4 m
and distance covered in first second must be subtracted by 4 m
so distance covered in 1st second = 8m and velocity will also be 8m/s
and acceleration = 4m/s^2
