Answer:

Given :-

  • A body initially at rest travels a distance of 10 m in 2 seconds with constant acceleration.

To Find :-

  • What is the acceleration.

Formula Used :-

\clubsuit Second Equation Of Motion Formula :

\longrightarrow \sf\boxed{\bold{\pink{s =\: ut + \dfrac{1}{2} at^2}}}\\

where,

  • s = Distance Covered
  • u = Initial Velocity
  • t = Time Taken
  • a = Acceleration

Solution :-

Given :

  • Distance Covered = 10 m
  • Initial Velocity = 0 m/s
  • Time = 2 seconds

According to the question by using the formula we get,

\leadsto \sf 100 =\: (0)(2) + \dfrac{1}{2} \times a \times (2)^2

\leadsto \sf 100 =\: 0 \times 2 + \dfrac{1}{2} \times a \times (2 \times 2)

\leadsto \sf 100 =\: 0 + \dfrac{1}{2} \times a \times 4

\leadsto \sf 100 =\: 0 + \dfrac{1}{\cancel{2}} \times {\cancel{4}}a

\leadsto \sf 100 =\: 2a

\leadsto \sf \dfrac{100}{2} =\: a

\leadsto \sf 50 =\: a

\leadsto \sf\bold{\red{a =\: 50\: m/s^2}}

\therefore The acceleration of a body is 50 m/ .
