$v\cos( \alpha )$
and it is the horizontal component the initial vertical component is v
$v\sin( \alpha )$
where v=18 and
$\alpha = 45 ^{0}$

find the time of flight
$2v\sin( \alpha ) \div g$
this is
$36 \div \sqrt{200}$
now use the formula
