a body is thrown vertically upwards its velocity keeps on decreasing what happens to its kinetic energy as its velocity becomes zero

as it is going upwards,the kinetic energy is gradually converting into potential energy.at max height it's kinetic energy will become 0 and it will totally convert into potential energy.but total energy will remain constant...

when it's velocity becomes zero, the kinetic energy also decrease and because of decrease in kinetic energy the body comes back towards the ground
