Work done due to friction force=Kinetic energy

\frac{1}{2}mv^2=\mu mg \times x

\mu=0.5

We know that

Friction force=\mu mg

Substitute the values then we get

Friction force, f_k=0.5\times 5\times 10=25 N

Hence, friction force applied on the body=25 N
