A body starting from rest moves with a uniform acceleration of 10m/s^2 for 10sec. For the next 10sec it moves with a uniform velocity. Calculate the distance covered by the body in 20 sec

Given u=0
a= 10ms^-2
t1= 10s
According to Newtons first law of motion:
v=u +at1
v=0+(10)(10)=100m/s
Now time increases to 20
t2=20sec
Also v=d/t
d=vt=(100)(20)=2000m =2Km
Therefore the distance covered is 2Km.
