v max=24m/s

distance travelled in accelerating part=59.5m

distance travelled with constant velocity =24*5=120m

retardation will be u=at     
a=8m/s^2

distance travelled during retardation = 79.3 m

total distance travelled =59.5+120+79.3=258.8m
