A body starts from rest at point A and travels upto point B with constant acceleration of 10m/s^2 in 4 secs. then from point B it travels to point C with constant acceleration of 20m/s^2 in 8 secs

The body is at rest initially, u = 0. Put t = 2 sec in above formula as :

So, when a body starts from rest, the acceleration of the body after 2 seconds is  half of its displacement. Hence, this is the required solution.
