A body travels a distance of 15m from A to B and then moves a distance of 20m at right angles towards C. Claculate the distance and displacement.

Let the final point be C
Thetefore,Total Distance=AB+BC
Distance=15m +20m
Distance=35m
Displacement=Hypotenous of Triangle ABC
Displacement =(AC)^2=(AB)^2+(BC)^2
=AC^2=15^2+20^2
=AC^2=225+400
=AC^2=625
Therefore,AC=ROOT625
AC=25m
