NUMBER OF RED BALLS = 4

NUMBER OF BLACK BALLS = 12

TOTAL BALLS = 12+4 = 16

i) PROBABILITY = NUMBER OF FAVOURABLE OUTCOMES / TOTAL OUTCOMES

PROBABILITY = 4/12

= 1/3

HENCE THE PROBABILITY OF GETTING A RED BALL IS 1/3.

ii) PROBABILITY = 12/16

= 3/4

HENCE THE PROBABILITY OF GETTING A BLACK BALL IS 3/4.
