Sol: Out of 600 electric bulbs one bulb can be chosen in 600 ways ⇒Total number of outcomes = 600 Number of non-defective bulbs = 600 -12 = 588 ⇒ Number of favourable outcomes = 588P(Getting a non-defective bulb) = ⇒ Probability 588/600

  Hence, the probability of getting a non-defective bulb = 0.98
