volume of a cuboid = length x base x height
864cu.cm = 12cm. x 12cm. x height
               = 144cm. x height
 height = 864cu. cm./144cm.
          = 6 cm.

Volume(v)= length(l)*width(w)*height(h)
therefore if volume is 864,length is 12 and breadth is 12 then height is 864/(12*12)
or 864/144
the answer is therefore is 6
