➡️ Hunar,

If 3/8 of the book were read the first day, then 5/8 remained.

 4/5\:of\:5/8 = 4/5 * 5/8 = 4/8

So now  3/8 + 4/8 = 7/8 have been read.

The 30 pages that remain must be 1/8 of the total.

So if p is the total number of pages:

 p/8 = 30

 p = 240\:pages

Answer:

imagine, total pages as x

3/8 th of the book was read on the first day.

so, there are 5/8th of the pages left.

on the second day, (4/5)(5/8) = (4/8)

totally, (3/8)+(4/8) = (7/8)th of the pages were completed and (1/8)th of the book is left which is given as 30.

(1/8)(x) = 30

=> x= 240.

so, totally, the book contains 240 pages.
