We can fill a bucket from downstairs tap quicker than from an upstairs tap because due to gravitational Force the water exerts more pressure in downstairs tap as compared to upstairs tap. The water will come out of tap with a great force of pressure.

we can fill a bucket from a

downstairs tap quicker than from an upstairs tap because due to the increase in distance between tank and the tap . The downstair tap has more distance from tank than upstair one's . As the pressure also depends upon the depth of the liquid therefore water comes out with more force in downstairs tap .

The second reason can be of acceleration due to gravity which increases more at ground level

(but this does not affect much , therefore the reason first is much better).
