Buoyant force = 200gwt
Apparent weight = 100gwt

Buoyant force = Original weight - Apparent weight

200 = Original weight - 100
Original weight = 200+100 = 300gwt

Given - Apparent weight and buoyant force

Find - Actual or original weight

Solution - The actual weight of the body is 300 gwt.

Apparent weight, original weight and buoyant force are related to each other as follows -

Apparent weight = Original weight - buoyant force

Keep the values in the formula to find the value of the original weight.

Original weight = apparent weight + buoyant force

Original weight = 100 + 200

Original weight = 300 gwt

So, the actual weight of the body is 300 gwt.
