the total distance covered would be 500km and total time would be 10 hrs

by using formula speed=distance/time, we get avr. speed=50km/h

by multiplying this by 5/18, we get avr. speed=13.8 m/s

Average speed = total distance traveled/total time taken
Given that: Total distance = S1 + S2=250+250=500km
total time taken= T1+T2 =5+5=10h
average speed=500/10=50km/h
Now average speed in m/s is given by
multiplying km/h by 5/18
therefore average speed in m/s is
50×5/18=13.8m/s approx
